Word Processing Reading Group

This reading group is open to anyone interested in processing at the word level, broadly defined. These include perspectives from psycholinguistics, phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, L2 acquisition etc. Each meeting will involve the discussion of one paper from one (or more) of these sub-disciplines concerning word processing*. We will be pre-selecting the paper for the first meeting (TBC), but suggestions for readings for subsequent meetings are welcome.

We will be meeting every two weeks (Thursdays at 12pm), starting with our first meeting on the 15th October. The meeting will last approximately one hour, beginning with a short presentation by a student who will summarize the paper for the group, before spending the rest of the hour discussing the paper.

*Not to be confused with Word Processing in the sense of Microsoft Word – this will not be covered.
