We are happy to announce the exciting line-up of teachers for the ACTL Summer School 2018!! Unlike previous years, there will be two parallel sessions, with introductory and advanced courses in syntax, semantics and phonology.
The website has now been updated for Year 2017-2018.
This year we will try a new structure. Unlike previous years, we will not offer the Autumn School. Instead we will have more courses at the Summer School than usual, probably including introductory courses.
Some of us are meeting up at 5:10-5:45 in the Brunswick Square Gardens (next to the Brunswick Center) and go to a pub. Join us!
As Neil Myler’s course has been cancelled, we have moved Adam Ussishkin’s course to that slot. The timetable on the summer school page has been updated accordingly.
Please also be aware that Hilda Koopman’s course will start on Tuesday. Earlier we announced that there would be a lecture by someone else on Monday, but we will have a long lunch break instead.
However, please join us for Andrew Nevins’ inaugural lecture and associated talks, which are planned for Monday from 17:30. You can find more information about these talks on the summer school page.
Unfortunately, Neil Myler had to cancel his course due to unforeseen circumstances. We will therefore have three, rather than four, lecturers for the summer school this year. We will modify the time table slightly to accommodate this change.
